The Salvation Experience
The Salvation Experience
Salvation is a love gift from God, to all people on earth. According to the Bible, John 3:16-18, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned a
When we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord; four things happen:
1.He changes your past. ◦Your sins are forgiven. Revelation 1:5 says, "... Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood."
◦Your old nature is changed. II Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
2.He enriches your present.
◦He gives you peace and joy and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phillippians 4:7 says, " But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ."
3.He helps you in every trouble. ◦Isaiah 41:10 says, "Behold, the hold Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
4.He secures your future. ◦Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."
◦He is preparing a home for you in heaven. John 14:2 says, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
◦You need not fear death.
Psalm 23:4 says, " Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art near me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
lready, because he hath not believed in that name of the only begotten Son of God."
5:1 Jesus saw the crowds and went up a hill, where he sat down. His disciples gathered around him,
5:2 and he began to teach them:
5:3 "Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; /the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!
5:4 "Happy are those who mourn; /God will comfort them!
5:5 "Happy are those who are humble; /they will receive what God has promised!
5:6 "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires; /God will satisfy them fully!
5:7 "Happy are those who are merciful to others; /God will be merciful to
them! 5:8 "Happy are the pure in heart; /they will see God!
5:9 "Happy are those who work for peace; /God will call them his children!
5:10 "Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; /the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!
5:11 "Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers.
5:12 Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted.
